Sustainability Approach and System
Sustainability Management
NSK’s Corporate Philosophy―NSK contributes to a safer, smoother society and helps protect the global environment through its innovative technology integrating Motion & Control™―underpins all of its corporate activities. Based on the Company’s strategies that encompass its MTP2028, materiality, and SDGs Declaration, NSK engages in a broad range of sustainability activities to balance contributions to the resolution of social issues with the Company’s sustainable growth.
SDGs Declaration
NSK announced details of its SDGs Declaration and selected seven goals that are particularly interlinked with its business in 2019 to help achieve the SDGs by creating collaborative value with stakeholders. While keeping these goals in mind, the Company also drew up its Declaration of NSK’s initiatives to clarify its strategic intent.

Promotion Structure
Until recently, the Core Values Committee was in charge of promoting sustainability activities. However, in April 2026, this committee was renamed the Sustainability & Core Values Committee to make it even clearer that it is the organization that oversees sustainability activities. The Sustainability & Core Values Committee, which is chaired by the CEO, meets five times a year to formulate initiatives, discuss policies and share relevant risks, with this entire effort focused on the Group’s four core values of “Safety, Quality, Environment, and Compliance,” as well as “Human Rights” and “Carbon Neutrality,” and conducted from a cross-functional perspective. In addition, the Committee makes recommendations for addressing materiality (material topics) that are prioritized for achieving sustainable growth, monitors progress, and ensures appropriate information sharing of these activities, thereby driving the NSK Group’s sustainability efforts. Important matters related to sustainability are deliberated by the Operating Committee and reported to the Board of Directors at least once a year. We have also established the Sustainability Disclosure Committee under the Sustainability & Core Values Committee. The Sustainbability Disclosure Committee is chaired by the Head of the Corporate Planning Division Headquarters, an executive officer, and mainly composed of the heads of divisions related to ESG. We have also established targets related to sustainability as indicators when determining officer remuneration.
Strategies, Indicators, and Targets
We have set KPIs for materiality topics and are working to achieve them.
