Tokyo, Japan, November 5, 2012 - NSK Ltd. (NSK; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Norio Otsuka) today announced that it will exhibit at the 26th Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF 2012), to be held from Thursday, November 1 to Tuesday, November 6 at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo).

NSK is the leading developer and manufacturer of bearings, ball screws, linear guides, mechatronics products, and spindles used in the core components that comprise machine tools. The company will continue to provide an extensive range of sales and services to meet all present and future customer needs based on its comprehensive technological resources.

NSK meets broad customer needs ranging from the increasingly higher performance demanded in the field of machine tools, including higher precision, heat resistance, and higher rotation speeds, to products with standard functions at a lower cost, for which demand has been growing in emerging markets.

Following the theme of the previous exhibit, the exhibit theme this time will once again be, “NSK: Your Real Partner.” NSK has thus far striven relentlessly, steadily, boldly, and with all its might to provide appropriate advice and solutions that draw on the company's comprehensive strength in bearings and precision machinery products. This indeed is truly NSK's unbroken culture, and it will continue unchanged into the future. This year, a subtheme will be, “Whatever it takes, solutions tailored to your priorities,” by which the company expresses its intention to provide the greatest satisfaction possible to its customers. This theme is intended to convey NSK's unflinching dedication to providing services and solutions capable of satisfying the highest expectations and becoming a "Real Partner" able to support all of its customers' production (mono-zukuri) needs.

The NSK exhibit will feature a wide range of products, from the company's standard lineup—products which can be put to diverse uses—to highly functional products, as well as NSK's new technological approach to grease lubrication, all developed to provide the best solution to each customer's needs.

Special Exhibition

Meet NSK’s Guide Dog Robot NR2003. This robot is capable of autonomously recognizing stairs through image and distance sensors and guiding visually handicapped users up and down safely.

In addition to industrial robot technology, NSK has been developing human assistance robots since 2004 to tackle 21st century issues such as the declining birth rate and aging of society.

NSK will continue working to identify key issues in this field, engaging its 4 Core Technologies™ - tribology, materials, analysis and mechatronics – to create robotic solutions that meet real human needs.

* This year's JIMTOF, which mark's the exhibition's 50th anniversary, is expected to attract 120,000 visitors from around the world to see the exhibits of 691 companies from 19 countries and regions, more than the previous exhibit in 2010.
