■ NSK Exhibit Concept

Under the theme “'Contributing to a sustainable society through kindness for human and the environment”, NSK will present the future of robotic technology that evolves with humans, using NSK’s unique precision motion and control technologies.

 Main Exhibits by NSK

1,  Rotary/Linear Actuators and High-Functionality Components

NSK will exhibit various cutting-edge components, including newly developed rotary/linear actuators applicable to humanoid robots, the NSK line-up of thin-section ball bearings contributing to higher performance and smaller/lighter designs of robots, and newly developed components such as a compact bilateral gear unit as a reducer for robot tactile transmission devices, locking clutches, and magnetostrictive torque sensors.

2. Active Caster PalGoTM High-Capacity Type and Active Caster PalGoTM Low-Floor Type

The Active Caster is a drive unit capable of seamless and smooth movement in all directions thanks to NSK’s unique mechanism. Its free, all-directional movement — regardless of the floor surface, including steps, carpets, and unevenness — fosters harmony between humans and robots. At this year’s iREX, NSK will exhibit the Active Caster PalGo™ High-Capacity Type, jointly developed by Man-Machine Synergy Effectors Inc. and NSK, and the Active Caster PalGo™ Low-Floor Type, developed by NSK.1 The High-Capacity Type enables the transport of heavy objects exceeding 1 ton, while the Low-Floor Type features a low-floor design (unit height of 140 mm), making for space-saving designs.

・Linkage-Suspension Equipped Robot (Outdoor Security Robot)

This security robot is equipped with a newly developed pantograph-shaped link-type suspension unit, achieving high all-terrain mobility outdoors. Since 2024, it has been undergoing field testing at Ritsumeikan University under The Ritsumeikan Trust (Headquarters: Kyoto; Representative: Yoshio Nakatani, President).

・NSK Autonomous Cargo Robot

A robot equipped with a powerful drive system that can handle gentle slopes and steps in existing buildings, transporting luggage through smooth and safe autonomous travel. Development began in 2023. Once functional verification has finished, field testing will follow. This will be its first exhibition at a trade show.
