NSK welcomes visitors to International Robot Exhibition 2017

NSK Ltd. (NSK; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Toshihiro Uchiyama) will exhibit its products and technologies at the International Robot Exhibition 2017 (iREX 2017), to be held at Tokyo Big Site from November 29 to December 02, 2017.

Many countries, including China and Japan, are faced today with an aging population and declining workforce. The resulting steep increases in labor costs and recent advances in computer-integrated manufacturing have given rise to a number of initiatives aimed at improving productivity and realizing tightly-knit “connected industries.” These initiatives, such as Industry 4.0, and China Manufacturing 2025, aim to develop a highly advanced, high-added-value manufacturing framework to support global societies as we move to the future.

NSK aims to help realize the harmonious cooperation and coexistence of humans and robots in the manufacturing context. Under the theme Your Real Partner.™, NSK will exhibit leading edge technologies that contribute to high efficiency, long product life, and stable operation, including actuators incorporating Megatorque Motor™ technology, NSK proprietary condition monitoring systems, and a wide variety of solutions contributing to IoT and smart factory integration. Come to NSK to make your ideas reality.

Major Exhibits

1. High Rigidity Thin-Section Angular Contact Ball Bearings

High Rigidity Thin-Section Angular Contact Ball Bearings

By optimizing the internal structure and preload applied to these bearings we realized both high rigidity and long life. These bearings contribute to stable operation and compact and lightweight designs.

2. Dual-axis integrated motor (demonstration)

Dual-axis integrated motor (demonstration)

Two motions in one body. This motor is capable of two independent rotary motion outputs, and has a small footprint, contributing to reduced product size and space savings.

Come see the live demo at our booth demonstrating how this motor can even move objects up and down in a small confined space.

3. Condition Monitoring System (CMS)

This system detects fluctuations in the vibrations of equipment to evaluate the condition of components within. This allows for component damage to be detected at an early stage, which contributes to achieving more predictable, stable operation of machinery.

4. Click Speedy™
