NSK Vision 2026, established to celebrate NSK's 100th anniversary, can be summed up in the phrase “Setting the Future in Motion.” To realize this vision, and allow visitors to experience NSK's earnestly-developed products and technologies that contribute to the environment and safety in a fun, new way, the company has named the exhibit, “ASHITA-MIRAI Laboratory - The Future of Motion.”

NSK has designed its booth as if it were a laboratory developing the technologies of the future, where seemingly complex products and technologies that contribute to the environment and safety are introduced as research outcomes using impressive images and e-motion displays.

Major Exhibits

e-motion modules (World-Premier)

Advance Assist Steering II, Wheel Hub Motor, Ball Screw for Electric Brake Booster, and a New EV Drive System… Using an innovative technique combining narration and images on a transparent monitor, we will introduce the e-motion modules-made up entirely of original NSK technologies-making what could be complicated, simple, fun and easy to understand.

Advanced Assist Steering II (World-Premier)

This system automatically steers the vehicle when there is imminent danger of a collision. Further, it quickly brings the unstable movement after avoiding the collision back into a stable driving condition. Additionally, the safety steering mechanism restrains sudden steering wheel movement to prevent driver injury.

New EV Drive System

New EV Drive System

This is an alternative power source for the automobile in place of the engine. It is equipped with a high-speed motor and transmits power with a roller via special oil that only hardens the instant it is compressed, employing a traction reducer that transmits power without using gears.
Since a traction reducer transmits power through “rolling” and has low friction losses, it is characterized by outstanding quietness.

A wide variety of other items are on display, including products that contribute to improved automobile fuel efficiency through compact, lightweight, motorized, low-friction-loss designs, as well as power steering that contributes to safety.

With its 100th anniversary approaching in 2016, there will also be a panel displaying the history of NSK. The popular Hands-on Bearing Assembly Corner launched in 2011 will also be available.

Display items:

Thin Thrust Needle Bearing for Planetary Gear Side (World-Premier), Stainless Bearing for Hydrogen Circulation Pump (World-Premier), High Reliability Seal Bearing for Electric Water Pump (World-Premier), Friction Plate with Low Drag Torque (ν multi segment), Functional Safety Compliant Column EPS, etc.
