NSK Welcomes Visitors to China Wind Power 2015 (CWP2015)

NSK Ltd. (NSK; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Toshihiro Uchiyama) today announced that it will exhibit at China Wind Power 2015 (CWP2015) to be held at the China International Exhibition Center (New Venue) from Wednesday, October 14 to Friday, October 16.

Wind power generation is third in importance in China's three types of power generation—the first being coal-fired thermal power and second being hydroelectric power. This wind power exhibition is the largest in Asia and actually the foremost wind power generation exhibition in the world, with companies representing 20 different countries.

NSK will display a variety of wind turbine-related products at the exhibition, including self-aligning ball bearings for the main spindle, bearings for step-up gears, and insulated bearings for power generators. We aim to provide a stable, wide-ranging supply of high-quality, high-load, long-life bearings that are highly reliable.

Major Exhibits

ブースイメージ

1. Cylindrical Bearings for Planetary Gears without Outer Ring

By improving processing precision for the inner gear surface, which is equivalent to the raceway surface of the bearing’s outer ring, and by using an optimized shape for the rollers, a high load cylindrical bearing without an outer ring has been developed.

2. High Load Capacity Cylindrical Roller Bearing (HCCRB)

A cylindrical roller bearing was developed by extending the lifetime with an increased number of rollers, and by optimizing the retainer shape for high load capacity and high reliability. Usage in harsh environments contributes to a more reliable step-up gear.

3. AWS-TF™ Bearing

The combination of NSK original materials and heat treatment technology resulted in the development of highly reliable, large-sized roller bearings. High durability is achieved, particularly in terms of white structure flaking, which can cause damage in the early stages of operation.

About NSK

NSK will celebrate its 100th anniversary in November 2016. Since its foundation as Japan's first bearing manufacturer in November 1916, NSK broke into globalization at an early stage, beginning with the establishment of production and sales locations in the United States in 1962, Germany in the 1960s, and Brazil and the United Kingdom in the 1970s. Currently NSK has 65 production sites around the globe, with two-thirds of the sites (43) and 66% of sales outside of Japan.

NSK has been ahead of other competitors in China for over 40 years, providing technical assistance for state-run businesses. In 1995, Kunshan NSK Co., Ltd. was established in the suburbs of Shanghai for manufacturing bearings, and along with the expansion of business that accompanied China's economic development, industrial machinery bearings, automotive bearings, automobile components, precision machinery and parts are produced in 12 sites throughout China. Technical Service Centers were established at an early stage in order to provide technical service for all NSK products, covering the entire country of China with sales locations that strive to improve customer satisfaction. NSK enjoys the number-one share in the Chinese bearing market as a powerful, self-sufficient brand that employs local materials and staff in its production, sales, technology, and management.
