NSK will be showcasing both its linear guides and ball screws as EMO returns to Hannover from 22-26 September (Stand J17 in Hall 6). In terms of the former, the centrepiece of the stand will be NSK’s DH/DS long-life series. Thanks to a market-leading dynamic load rating, the series delivers over twice the running distance of the company’s conventional NH/NS linear guides.

The product facilitates equipment downsizing as it allows for the use of smaller linear guides and makes use of NSK’s proprietary TF ‘Tough’ heat-treatment technology which controls the amount of retained austenite in steel to extend fatigue life.

Another solution on display will be NSK’s RA series of roller guides, which offer double the running life of conventional products in contaminated environments due to superior sealing peformance. For guides mounted upside down, users can enjoy four times greater running life, sometimes more, by combining the V1 seal with the V1 bottom seal, which covers the entire bottom face of the slider.

When it comes to ball screws, NSK will be highlighting its next-generation offer for high-accuracy machine tools. This range minimises motion errors and eliminates the ‘second glitch’ phenomenon, delivering superior surface finishes and reducing the need for secondary polishing. Lower drive torque also cuts energy use, while friction fluctuation is reduced by up to 20%.

For high-load applications, the HTF super-long-life series, also available to see in Hannover, delivers up to twice the lifespan of standard products via optimised load distribution, enabling smaller, more resource-efficient machinery. The S-HTF range then adds NSK’s proprietary Tough Steel, increasing both fatigue life and load capacity, ideal for contaminated or heavy-duty environments.

Other highlights include high-durability ball screws with raceway treatments dedicated for small and slow movements and osscilation applications., As well a high-speed, low-noise compact ball screws meeting DIN-standard size and high-capacity requirements.

In terms of bearing products, visitors to the stand will be able to see ROBUSTDYNA, NSK’s ultra-high speed, high-load capacity angular contact ball bearings, and SURSAVE (TSR), its bearing cage for angular contact ball bearings fitted to the main spindle of machine tools.

They will also have the opportunity to see a live demonstration of the VCM-3 condition monitoring system, produced by Brüel & Kjær Vibro, a member of the NSK group and one of the leading worldwide suppliers of condition monitoring solutions for rotating machinery.
