| The keyword of our Mid-term
Business Plan that we announced in February 2003 is "From
Restructuring to Growth", by which we mean we are nearing
completion of our business restructuring activities and
are aiming next for growth and expansion. |

Our top priority is to become
“No.1 in Customer Satisfaction”. We have changed
our traditional business model and are focusing on profitability,
not sales volume. We have set clear, separate
business strategies for each of our business segments
to enable quick response to changes in global business
environment and aim for further growth.
Our mid-term profit targets are to achieve No. 1 profitability
in the industry and to lower our debt-to-equity ratio
to under 1.0, which we consider to be a symbol of a healthy
financial structure. |
