The TOPIX (Tokyo Stock Price Index) is the stock
price index calculated and published by the Tokyo Stock Exchange
in order to express the changes of Tokyo Stock Market. The TOPIX
is calculated by aggregated market value listed in the 1st Section
of The Tokyo Stock Exchange to denominate the base market value
(January 4, 1968) 100.
The TOPIX (Tokyo Stock Price Index) is the intellectual
property owned by the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Tokyo Stock
Exchange owns all rights relating to the TOPIX Index such as calculating,
publishing and use of the TOPIX Index Value and relating to the
TOPIX Trademarks.
