On May 21, 2004, NSK Ltd. held a ceremony at its Zhangjiagang NSK Precision Machinery Co. Ltd., (Zhangjiagang City, Xiangsu Province) to commemorate the start-up of productions. Nearly 160 distinguished guests including members of the Zhangjiagang City Council, suppliers such as Shinwa Seiko and NSK’s senior management attended this event.

Zhangjiagang NSK Precision Machinery Co., Ltd (Zhangjiagang NSK) was established as a production base for the manufacture of  lathed rings.

Mr. Fulong Cao, Secretary to the Zhangjiagang Municipal Committee, Mr. Wang Xiang, the Honorable Mayor of Zhangjiagang City and many other distinguished guests attended this event commemorating the startup of operations. Mr. Cao made a short speech and in his speech, he praised NSK’s work ethics citing the diligent and quick approach that NSK has towards any given task. He thanked NSK for NSK’s contribution to the local community and wished Zhangjiagang NSK every success.

Mr. Seiichi Asaka, President of NSK Ltd., made the following comments. “China’s economic growth has been astonishing and NSK’s goal is to, in some way, participate and make a contribution to China’s development. Zhangjiagang NSK is NSK’s sixth production base and the objective of this new base is to manufacture and supply bearing parts of the highest quality. We humbly ask for your continued support.”
