NSK Celebrates opening of the NSK China Technical Center |
 On December 9, 2003, NSK Ltd. held a ceremony to celebrate the opening of the NSK China Technical Center. (Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province) The Honorable Mayor of Kunshan City, representatives of NSK’s major Chinese distributors, NSK’s local Chinese customers and many other distinguished guests attended this ceremony while NSK President Asaka and other Executive Officers represented NSK Ltd.
President Asaka, on behalf of NSK Ltd., expressed his thanks and appreciation to the government of China and the municipal government of Kunshan City for their support and cooperation. He also expressed his enthusiasm and excitement at the central role the China Technical Center will have to the future of NSK’s China business. Remarks by the Honorable Mayor of Kunshan followed Mr. Asaka’s comments. The Honorable Mayor stressed the strong bond between the city of Kunshan and NSK Ltd. and spoke of the local community’s expectations of NSK and the newly opened China Technical Center.
After these remarks, eight individuals, including President Asaka, “turned the switch on” to mark the opening of the China Technical Center.
 NSK China Technical Center is equipped with cutting-edge technology and equipment and was conferred with the title of “important research organization” by the Municipal Government of Kunshan. A plaque indicating this status was conferred after the opening ceremony.
The NSK China Technical Center seeks to respond to the technical requirements of the growing Chinese home appliance market. It will also try to fill the needs of China’s automobile, precision machinery and IT industries technological needs. The China Technical Center hopes to make its contribution to the Chinese economy by providing technically innovative solutions to the changing needs of the Chinese domestic market.
