NSK Ltd. (President - Seiichi Asaka) has announced the decision to establish a bearing pre-processing production company (lathed rings) in China as a means of reinforcing global procurement capabilities.

Increased production at the NSK Kunshan Plant and expanding global procurement needs have increased demand for lathed rings used for standard ball bearings. In addition, demand for automotive bearings in Asia, particularly in China, has continued to increase.
Under these market conditions, NSK Ltd. has decided to establish this pre-processing company as a means of creating dual sourcing capabilities, which will in turn, strengthen global procurement abilities and increase cost competitiveness.
The lathed rings that will be produced at this site is expected to supply NSK plants in Thailand, Korea, and the United States, as well as the Kunshan Plant in China. This decision to establish a pre-processing plant will further reinforce NSK’s strength in the core business of standard-size ball bearings and automotive bearings.
