NSK, Ltd. has been implementing the business process renovation policy announced in February 1999 calling for the re-organization of its domestic distribution and marketing infrastructure.

In April 1999, the existing seven sales subsidiaries were reshuffled into three companies as part of this restructuring effort. NSK Sales Co., Ltd. represents the integration of these companies, along with NSK branch offices nationwide. The three companies-East Japan, Central Japan, and West Japan-will administer local business operations as a nationwide, direct-distribution channel.

With the inception of the new sales company, NSK renews its commitment to improve services to customers by establishing a distributed decision-making process. Also, an integrated information and administration mechanism will quickly respond to customers' needs and streamline the distribution process for small to mid-volume purchase orders for precision component products.
