| NSK Ltd. announced on September 1, 2004 that it has agreed to enter into a ball screw patent license agreement with Mori Seiki Co. Ltd. The agreement is for the patents and technical support related to the high-speed, low-noise ball screw series and is part of an overall strategy to expand sales of ball screws and to further improve the technology of this product segment. |
| On May 21, 2004, NSK Ltd. held a ceremony at its Zhangjiagang NSK Precision Machinery Co. Ltd., (Zhangjiagang City, Xiangsu Province) to commemorate the start-up of productions. Nearly 160 distinguished guests including members of the Zhangjiagang City Council, suppliers such as Shinwa Seiko and NSK’s senior management attended this event. |
| On May 20, 2004, an opening ceremony was held on the grounds of the Timken-NSK Bearings (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., to celebrate the start of production. Members of the Suzhou City government, part suppliers of Timken and NSK, and management of both companies along with many distinguished guests attended the ceremony. |
